As a Registered Practical Nurse and founder of the clinic, she brings a rare blend of clinical excellence, academic versatility, and compassionate care to every client encounter. Her unique background combining a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with hands-on nursing expertise equips her to deliver healthcare with precision, empathy, and integrity.
With a strong focus on gerontology, Sonia is certified in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) in Dementia Care and is a proud member of the Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Champions for the City of Ottawa Home and Community Care. These qualifications position her to provide respectful, dignified support tailored to the complex needs of older adults.
Sonia is also a Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator, offering expert guidance to clients managing diabetes. Her dedication to best practices in foot care is reflected in her specialized certification from the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN) and completion of the Advanced Foot Care Preceptorship through Foot Care Feet for Life School of Podortho specialists and Ruth Ruttan & Associates Inc.
Infection prevention and control (IPAC) is a cornerstone of Sonia’s practice. Her advanced training ensures that every client is cared for in a safe, hygienic environment. A committed member of the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (WeRPN), she continuously updates her skills through ongoing professional education integrating the latest evidence-based knowledge into her everyday care.
