An introduction to:

Diabetic Foot Care

Specialized, consistent, and preventive foot care. That’s why we offer a dedicated Diabetic Foot Care program delivered by certified foot care nurses with advanced training in diabetic foot health. Our services are designed not only to address existing foot issues but also to prevent complications before they start. Through a combination of clinical skill, early detection, and personalized education, we help our clients protect their feet, maintain their mobility, and enjoy a better quality of life.

It's essential to your health:

Why Diabetic Foot Care?

When you have diabetes, even a small cut, blister, or pressure spot can become a serious problem if not properly cared for. Diabetes can cause:

  • Neuropathy (nerve damage) – reducing your ability to feel pain, heat, or injury

  • Poor circulation – impairing your body’s ability to heal wounds

  • Dry, fragile skin – increasing the chance of cracking and infection

  • Changes in foot structure – leading to pressure points, calluses, and ulcers

These complications often develop slowly and silently, which is why early detection and regular care are so important. Without proper foot care, these risks can lead to infections, slow-healing wounds, and in severe cases, amputation. Our goal is to intervene early, treat gently, and prevent problems from escalating.

Who can benefit from,

Diabetic Foot Care

Proper foot care is crucial for people with diabetes to prevent serious complications. Our program helps those at all stages of diabetes manage foot health, avoid infections, and maintain mobility through expert care and support.

What's Included?

Comprehensive Lower Limb Assessment

We evaluate your skin condition, nail health, circulation, nerve sensation, musculoskeletal structure, and gait. We also assess footwear for proper support, fit, and safety.

Annual Diabetic Foot Screening & Risk Evaluation

A full exam includes reviewing your diabetes management and foot concerns; inspecting skin for dryness, fungal infections, wounds, and pressure points; assessing nails for thickness, fungal infection, or ingrown toenails. Neurologic testing with monofilament and vibration checks protective sensation, vascular review looks for signs of poor circulation like cold feet or color changes, and footwear review covers both indoor and outdoor shoes. We also assess posture, alignment, foot mechanics, and weight distribution. Feedback is shared with your primary care provider or diabetes team if necessary.

Nail and Skin Care

We carefully trim and reduce thickened or fungal nails, remove corns and calluses, and manage dry, cracked, or fragile skin using safe, sterile tools and techniques. No foot soaking is done to minimize infection risk.

Wound and Ulcer Monitoring

If wounds or ulcers are present, we perform regular assessments, provide clinical documentation, and recommend appropriate interventions or referrals to your care team.

Pressure Point Management

We identify areas of abnormal pressure and help prevent the development of calluses and ulcers through therapeutic reduction, offloading recommendations, and gait evaluation.

Health Education and Self-Care Support

You’ll receive guidance on how to perform daily foot checks, what changes to look out for, proper hygiene routines, moisturizing techniques for diabetic skin, and choosing diabetic-friendly socks and footwear. We also provide printed handouts and product suggestions tailored to your needs.

Our Diabetic Foot Care program provides expert, compassionate care based on clinical best practices. We assess your lower limbs to detect issues early and prevent complications. Our certified nurses offer personalized treatment and education to support foot health, mobility, and reduce diabetes risks.
