Partnership with Podortho School®

Foot Specialist Education

At Sonia FootCare, we are honoured to collaborate with the prestigious Feet for Life School of Podortho® Foot Specialists, a leader in post-graduate education for healthcare professionals who wish to expand their scope of practice into advanced foot and lower limb care.

This PodOrtho School partnership represents a shared vision: to raise the standards of preventative and therapeutic foot care across Ontario through excellence in education, clinical training, and community-based service. The Feet for Life School is committed to equipping nurses and allied healthcare professionals with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and clinical judgment required to perform safe, ethical, and evidence-informed foot and lower limb care in a wide range of healthcare settings.

As an approved Clinical Educator and Practicum Facilitator, Sonia plays a pivotal role in this mission. A highly respected Registered Practical Nurse, Podortho® Foot Specialist, and Certified Foot & Lower Limb Care Educator, Sonia brings a wealth of clinical insight, educational expertise, and compassionate care to every aspect of her mentorship.

At her Ottawa-based practice, students engage in immersive, real-world clinical experiences, gaining exposure to diverse client populations, complex foot care needs, and advanced clinical techniques. Under Sonia’s direct supervision and mentorship, students are taught not only to perform skilled procedures, but to do so with professionalism, empathy, and respect for the whole person.
